Who are we? Humans,matter,matter with curiosity,matter with consciousness.
What is death? Is there an after life? What is consciousness?
For something to exist in a definite state,it is necessary to observe it. This thing is proved by quantum laws. This statement is applied to everything including humans. Matter shows wave-particle duality as well. We are waves and as soon as we are observed,our wave function collapses and we assume a definite shape and we transform into particles.
For observation we need another animal,precisely another conscious animal.
What is consciousness?
Consciousness is something that doesn't have a definite definition. How do you know that you are you. What if I replace your brain with some other person's brain,will your body still have the same feeling of being you. Will you still think that you are you? This feeling of being me is consciousness. Feeling of being alive is consciousness. No one knows what exactly it is. How is it created but we know that this consciousness can change the whole Universe.
A robot isn't conscious as it cannot feel that he is he,that he is a robot.
There are 3 stages of consciousness,first is where we understand our position in space which comes from our hind or reptilian brain. The second stage is where we understand our position with respect to others that comes from central or monkey brain and the third is where we plan future,where we save things for future and that comes from forebrain or prefrontal cortex that is unique to humans.
Human brain is the most sophisticated structure we have come across,after publishing tens of thousands of neuroscience papers we still seek answer to some easy yet complex questions. And this brain does not create consciousness rather it maintains it.
If consciousness is not created by brain then where does it come from. No one knows. But if it can exist without brain then so can afterlife. Afterlife is possible as we don't necessarily need brain for being conscious.
