It takes only a one syllable word 'Hi' to start a conversation with anyone, not even a full second of time takes to utter it. It needs more than just 'Hi' to talk to the person we admire. Is it lack of courage? No, we have made friends in the past. Is it shy or nervousness? No, we may have dealt with complex situations than this. Still it feels like the most impossible task at hand. Maybe it is because of the 'what if's that arise inside our head or the fear of being turned down.
We mark our territory, stand our ground, hold our breathe, aim for the target and delay the shot. The talk that have been in our head from the very moment we had eyes on our meal has gone in vain. Now, a lot of swearing can be heard followed by regret. And so, we stay in the shadows forever and call this wonderful phenomenon as having a "crush".
