Day 8580

Info

She took off her glasses and rubbed her eyes. A white sheet of paper lay before her, untouched, for hours now. It had been days since she decided that she wanted to start writing - a story, novel, anything really, just to help herself, to help her inner thoughts find an outlet to be transferred somewhere else because it had become too much. Her mind felt over crowded. she needed to release the pressure somehow but the current situation was anything but promising.

Her eyes started into the blank sheet for some more time as she racked her brain trying to come up with some ideas or any inspiration. Despite the multitude of books that she had read, enjoyed and celebrated, it seemed to her that she was incapable of producing even a single original thought. Deciding it was enough writing exercise or the attempt rather, she got up from her place and put the paper away. The day was coming to an end. The air felt calm and crisp. Birds were flying back to their nests and the sky was painted in the colors of the setting sun. She made herself a cup of tea and sat on the chair in the patio. She loved taking in the different smells and appearance of nature around her. She hoped to one day draw energy from those to give life to the words on paper.

Soon after, the family of little sparrows that grace the neighborhood announced themselves with their loud chirping sounds. They came as a group and some began jumping around the yard and others took seat on her patio railings. After spending some time inspecting her patio and examining the surroundings, they took their leave.

As the night settled in, she sat lost in thought. She decided to focus and put in more effort towards her ambition of writing as this was something she wanted to do ever since she started appreciating the beauty of writing. Lately, life had started to feel monotonous with seemingly endless office work and mind-numbing routines. To do something that you look forward to might be just the thing to push you in the right direction. She promised herself to not back down on this like the million other times she did because she hoped that this time this decision would give her a reason to get up each day with newfound excitement and vigor - feelings she seemed to have forgotten.
