Dear Romeo,

You are not the Romeo in Shakespeare's story. You are not the Romeo who is meant to fall in love with Juliet. You are the Romeo of my story. 

I met you somewhere I don't belong. I met you at the time I am out of myself. You were there standing. Looking straight through me. It started with a "Good Morning." and continued to every morning. 

I was hesitant to open up and was too guarded to even speak. But you were warm, Romeo. Your words, by far, are the most comforting and coziest of all. Perfect timing, perfect scenario, perfect emotions, perfect descriptions. I found myself slowly getting out of the shell, revealing myself to you. I told you my weirdest secrets and showered you with my crazy inconsistencies. Yet, you stayed. You never fail to remind me that you will be there despite the mood swings, the rants, the negativity, the doubts. Mornings and evenings passed, I started to rely on your shoulder. Your strength, your courage and your sweetness are what keeps me believing that a Romeo like you can actually exist.

But Romeo, you have your life. You have to be the Romeo before I knew you. You have to be the Romeo you have always been. I cannot stop you from being you. I cannot be the reason you fail to be you, Romeo. You did not ask me to be a part of your life. One day you just came and showed me you want me to be a part of your life. I was not ready. I want to be, but I was not.


Your life is a different thing. I have a lot of thoughts about it. But for now, I will let them remain as thoughts. I will let myself wonder what it could be. I will let myself wander to where you could be. Just remember, you are my Romeo, and this is just a chapter of our story.
