Before I bid goodbye,
To this earthly place.
I'd like to drop my name,
So someone can remember.
Call me Cherry,
That's what my father named me.
He saw it from an old calendar,
Posted in our humble altar.
I am the youngest,
Of our gigantic family tree.
But I became the leader,
Of the pack that I no longer feel.
I was born in an old town,
Where people treated me dearly.
Yet life made me different,
I became the monster of the east.
I no longer remember,
The things that made me change.
Into someone I can't stand to see,
The beast that I hated to be.
To my loving mother,
Who abandoned me,
When I was eleven,
And learning how to bleed.
To my other siblings,
Whom I don't recall the faces.
I want to say goodbye,
And thank you for staying alive.
Please be happy for me,
Please rejoice to my grave.
For I am now a happy soul,
Walking thru the path of Lord.
