Not An Epilogue

Info

I was loved by many,
Neglected by few,
I was broken to the core,
But still a rolling ball.

I was disrespected, betrayed, and abandoned.
I was part of a whole that never really fitted in,
I was a sound to a certain music,
Unknown.

I was a butterfly,
Turned ugly in time,
But my purpose has been served,
Flowers bloomed.

I was a wind,
A gasp, perhaps,
I saved lives as I continuously lost mine,
But it was all worth it, for a while.

I cried a river, shouted thunders,
I voiced out my opinions,
Nobody cared to listen,
So I silenced myself.

I began to crawl from the dark,
Dirty body to the ground,
I looked and looked for answers,
That was nowhere to be found.

I was here, there, and everywhere,
I made an effort to give everything to the world,
In return,
I've attached nothing left to my name.

My pride?
My ego?
My life?
They all meant nothing.

But the show must go on,
The story must continue,
There are more pages to come,
It was just a chapter, not an epilogue.
