Its so confusing and damn hard to choose, especially between two people who are just opposite of each other. Heena never expected that she will encounter such a confusing situation that to at this age.
Heena met Atul when she was 29, a best friend, a secret keeper, a successful guide, a motivator and what not. He was a complete package, may be a solution book for all the problems in her life. She was devoid of such a strong support since ages. She could feel herself again, she could see the sun peeping out of the clouds- the clouds of depression.
Married at the age of 26 she never imagined that a life existed beyond Harshad. A perfect son, a perfect businessman, a generous employer and what not but as it is said 'time belongs to nobody', soon Harshad came to know about a huge scam that was going on in his company which later resulted in his downfall.
Heena being an independent, strong headed woman decided to take matters into her own hands but her bold decisions didn't go down well with Harshad and thus they decided to take a break from each other. For a yr Heena waited for Harshad to ceremoniously bring her back to her home- her sasural, but unfortunately that didn't happen, that was when Atul made an entry in her life.
Atul admired Heena for her nature, her bold attitude and also helped her get a job so that she could keep herself busy. For Heena breakup was never easy be it any of her boyfriends in the past or her husband whom she considered her present and future.
The thought of Harshad, his smile, his hair, his eyes, the way he used to kiss her or touch her everything would pull her towards him, would make her go weak. She repeatedly swallowed her pride and took Harshad in her arms, Harshad would smile and forget the arguments, they would smile at each other and everything will be back to normal, to her it would seem like nothing had happened in the first place. All these sounded so nice, felt so nice but that was just her past and a part of her imagination which she knew would never happen again.
Soon enough a broad minded Heena started doubting herself, she started questioning the grounds of her well established principles, the period of 2yrs was not easy to handle but with Atul by her side in the past few months things seemed easy. She was never charmed by his looks nor his personality but there was an assurance, a feeling of trust which drew her towards him. She started living a life which she never lived before. This life was full of freedom, this life was all about Heena, it was Heena and Atul, she felt her existence after a very long time.
Her favourite cup of cappuccino, her most watched movies, her priorities started finding a space in Atul's life and Heena felt that. She never acknowledged it and never thought of doing the same. For her Harshad was the one worth waiting for and Atul accepted it.
It was their marriage anniversary, Heena had been eagerly waiting for this day, she decided to forget all the grudges and return to Harshad. She missed him every moment and his absence was long enough for her to forget everything and return to her darling. She knew the feeling was mutual, she knew Harshad was waiting for her and thus she went to Harshad. She was on cloud nine, she couldn't hide her happiness, her long wait was about to get over.
Harshad by now was still recovering from the sudden downfall, he required the much needed emotional support which Heena used to provide him. Things got back to normal and Heena continued her work, this time with the approval of Harshad. Things soon started changing again. Heena was accompanied by Harshad in all her parties and slowly Harshad started developing an inferiority complex. Heena's promotion and a raise in salary didnt go down well with Harshad. Suddenly things stopped making sense to Heena, her husband's behavior confused her and she was unable to understand the reason.
Things went back to square one. She longed for him but he was not there for her. The void which was filled for some days started piercing her again. This time she was hurt, very hurt. She again went back to Harshad but Harshad was just not ready to accept her.
Few days later she was shocked to receive divorce papers sent by Harshad. She felt as if her world had come to an end. It was impossible for her to imagine her life without Harshad. She wanted to take her time and absorb the fact that everything was over. Indeed Atul was a great help at that time. She soon realized that marrying someone who loves you is better than marrying someone whom you love.
It was adorable when Atul took care of Heena and tried to simplify her life. This also relieved Heena's parents and they started seeing Atul as a possible match for Heena. For Heena's parents Atul was most deserving person, he was the person who Harshad could never become.
In the meantime Harshad came to know about Atul and tried his best to incite Heena against him but all his efforts were in vain. This time Heena was clear about Atul and wanted to move forward in her life. Harshad convinced her for one last meet before the divorce proceedings start and Heena wanted to make her divorce guilt free, she wanted to clear everything with Harshad so that she doesn't carry the baggage of past.
The next morning was a surprise for Atul. He woke up with the news that Heena called off the possibility of their alliance and instead shifted to Harshad's house. Confused and heart broken Atul rushed to get answers to all his questions. He went to Harshad's house to have a talk with him. Harshad was expecting Atul in his house, he had already sent Heena away for buying grocery. Atul calmly asked Harshad to let go off Heena as he doesn't deserve her and he doesn't love him enough. To this Harshad smiled and replied to Atul that when you have the choice between the one you love and the one who loves you the former always wins.
