I was in my junior high when the result of NCAE has released. Starting from the first period until to last, everyone was talking about it. I remembered my classmate's probable career was carpenter and the-other-one-i-can't remember. I know he was smart. I know he didn't take the examination seriously. For sure, he just shaded any circles that if you zoom out, you could create a pattern. He was happy and confident telling our classmates how unique his future job would be. Once you heard it, either you smile or laugh. But let me ask you, why would you laugh or smile? We must have the same thinking that being a carpenter as lowly job. Or you found his doing deserves a reward of laugh. Either way, we never understood him.
My friend, Angel, wanted to be a stewardess. I wanted to take IT as my field. And Alminah wanted to be a lawyer. I joked that Angel should let us fly for free to her plane. Of course, it wouldn't be easy. So I will hack the system of the airport. If by chance, we would be busted, Alminah got our back to defend us in court trial. How funny and eerie daydream it was. It might happen. It would happen. If we just didn't take a different detour. To an unfamiliar path that we didn't expect. Look at us now, where did we go? Our little daydream would never recognize us.
But I guess, detour is inevitable in our life. Change is constant. We must move forward as the world spin endlessly. The world would never take a break and sympathize for a single person whose dreams were shattered.
But I wished, the three of us could have another detour making us to meet each other.
