You are sitting so close to me,
I can feel your arms rub against mine
And fingers intertwined.
I stare into your hazel brown eyes
Reflecting in the daylight.
And try to fathom their depth.
The lines beneath them
show me a pathway
To the window of your soul.
But everything seems so blurry.
I sense your warm hands
Yet they feel so cold.
The space between us is less than a span,
Then why do we feel so detached?
please suggest if it should be made into further parts as a short story, be kind hoomans ;)
