Dream for the Many

When I was seven, while sitting inside a classroom with a teacher in front speaking ABC. I started having a dream of becoming like her. I want to talk in front of a class confidently sharing my knowledge with young minds.

One day I got sick and was rushed to the hospital. While staying there, I saw these people wearing all white with a nice cap above there head, constantly checking on me and asks how I feel. They all look so neat and nice. That's when I told myself, "I wanna become a nurse." All of a sudden I have the urge to take care of the sick. I was thinking that it's nice to help sick people get better.

As I grow up, I had a lot of wants. Teacher, nurse, police, etc. That's a lot of occupation. But my dream is not that. Our dreams aren't suppose to be an occupation. Our dreams should be happiness, love, wellness, peace and a united world.

Seeing countries live in war. Where there are children  living in fear. Parents losing a child. Experiencing starvation. Witnessing harrassment and death. Knowing that there are married people asking their partner for divorce. A student experiencing bullying. People committing suicide. What I've mentioned are some of the worst reality that's happening all over the world. There's more than that.

Humanity is rapidly shattering. Yet, we are unconcious about the issue. We continue reaching the dream that we have only for ourself. Everyday, we wake up doing the same thing. Thinking for the what good future awaits us. We don't notice the selfishness that we have within us.

Why not dream big? Why can't we dream for the betterment of the many... for the world.

I'm not saying you have to stop your ambition. What my point really is that we are made for eachother. God made us live in this world not to move seperately but to be united with one another. We should stop competing towards eachother for it will only cause vain in our hearts.
