I am not an outcast. Many people in my life may think I am... but that is not the case...
YES. I listen to "scary" music. YES. I am short, yes my body structure isn't ideal to most boys.
You have a dream, just as I have a dream. Yours may be different than mines, but that is why its YOUR dream.
My dream is to travel. I don't care where, I don't care who with. Take me to a bar and in an hour tops I will be on the road, headed only for greatness in everything I do. I've heard around that it doesn't matter where you start, only where you end... but you need that start to fuel your end. How else would you get there? Our society has such different standards than our parents where you had to go to college do get a job.
For Christs sake, I can go on YouTube, be funny and go on a national tour. If people everyday are becoming famous for primping themselves and getting the lighting and angles right, then god damn it I can become a journalist. I don't need a degree, after all that money you are not promised a job. True talent doesn't need to be taught in classes such as the high school ones I'm forced into. Even then I put in ear buds and zone out the teacher, trying my hardest to out word the smartest people in my class. I could go on about social issues for hours and hoursss, but it seems I get my 15 minutes of fame and grading then I'm done.
In my dreams, I intern for a newspaper, they read some of my work and send me out for a test article and I nail it. I could become a full time writer, but big city dreaming is the life for me, I pack up my bags and off I am... traveling.
Oh Carly, what kind of writing do you want to do... just newspapers and stuff like that? Oh no, no, no. I write my fingers off about everything and anything I can, then i get my dream job.
I will work at Alternative Press or a tattoo magazine... or maybe start my own rock/punk/all other sub-genres magazine.
After that I will be able to go around interviewing all over the nation.
My dreams are about CLIMBING TO THE TOP. Being handed something is way too easy, but if that makes me an outcast... then call me what you will.
