emotions or people

The night was dark. No Star, no Moon. It was filled with black , heavy clouds. No wind, no birds no rustling. Nothing. It was blank . Just like me.

Why do emotions hurt us? I asked

Emotions don't.. people do.. came the covert reply.

Why do they? I asked again

Because we give them that authority... I got the reply.

But I didn't.. I protested.

So tell me.. why are you sad? Because you tried to find happiness there.. not with you.. why are you hurt? Because you trusted the wrong person. You are feeling low because the key to your happiness has been thrusted to a wrong person.. by you none the less. Did you really had no idea what a problem that fellow was?

 I had no answer for those questions. I was speechless.

You are responsible.. no one else. Came the final judgement.

A horn broke the silence. I looked down to see my reflection staring back at me.
