Every night I am left
Face to face with it
It dwells in my conscience
Feeding on my deepest, darkest fears
Every night it manifests itself
Engulfing every ounce of my thought
In its dismal skin
Into the unmindful oblivion
Every night it's ravishing triumph
Over my frail soul
Leaves a colossal and brutish scar
Upon my mundane torso
Every morning I am left
To cloak over my defeat
For the facade of sublime beauty
Just another day of life, Thinking about making it better But getting nowhere If you can relate I
