As an NFL head coach, there are a number of qualities that must be in place in order to succeed. A team's players are a key component to success, but coaches also make decisions that have a major impact on the game. The top 15 NFL coaches have a huge stockpile of wins, including multiple Super Bowl titles.
Don Shula leads the way in NFL history with 347 career wins. He has also led two undefeated seasons and six Super Bowl appearances. In addition, Shula has held a position as a head coach for three decades. During those 33 years, Shula only had two losing seasons.
Despite his success, Shula is not considered to be the best coach in the NFL. Bill Belichick holds the second spot with 324 wins. But, if Belichick can stay on top of his game for five more years, he could be the first NFL coach with more than 500 victories.
Among his other accomplishments, Shula is the only coach in the NFL to win a championship as a player and as a head coach. He led the Miami Dolphins to the only perfect season in league history in 1972. And, he was the first coach to appear in three straight Super Bowls.
During his time as a coach, Shula was also known for his defensive excellence. His teams had a suffocating defense that was difficult to beat. If you're a fan of NFL football, you can appreciate how Shula changed the game with his unique style. Whether you're a fan of the Dolphins or the Colts, Shula's teams have always been a thrill to watch.
Another coach who has achieved great heights is Pete Carroll. He has won both a Super Bowl and college football national championship. Additionally, his Seahawks have won a NFC West title in his age-69 season. While he is unlikely to break the 200 win mark, he has set a record for a coach that is 69 or older.
Currently, the fourth-place coach on the all-time list is Tom Landry. After spending 29 years with the Dallas Cowboys, he has won 270 games, two Super Bowls, and two AFL Championships. Currently, he is 14 wins away from passing the top three. Here Archiebetting is one of the platform where you will get each information regarding it.
One of the youngest coaches in the NFL is Sean McVay. When he took over as the head coach of the Los Angeles Rams, he had a record of 68.8 winning percentage. Despite this, he has lost crucial games to his opponents. It's easy to see why he's not the top choice to be the next NFL coach with the most wins. Nevertheless, he has already been named the NFL Coach of the Year in 2015.
Regardless of what happens, Belichick's success is unparalleled. He's the only coach to be on the NFL's all-time list with at least 20 playoff wins and at least 20 regular-season wins. Moreover, he's only the third coach to be in the top four of both categories.
