For You

Info

For all those times that you lied to me, have you ever felt sorry?

Because I waited until dawn for you to call when you're not even looking for me.

I checked my phone more than I should have

Heard the clock ticked then tocked louder than my heart

My soul slowly withered away with your promise

"I'm coming home." was your last message.

I've millions of words to tell you

But you know they're always hiding from you

And you let them grow big by sitting in the corner

Letting them be dark and unspoken like a mystery

Yet ask them to come out when it sounds like a poetry

The constant need of beauty

The constant need of something

More than you have

and more than I

Even with the bed we used to lay down to felt bigger

I fought with the loneliness while you're with some other girl

A broken frame with a clear picture

And just like your clothes, my heart is just as scattered

On the cold hard ground

Crying without a sound

With all the lies you've told me

When was the last time you were honest?

When was the last time you weren't wasted?

I found them all on the first page

I guess honesty was too much to ask

And maybe you never really did love me back

But you were so good at telling me your lies

Since they all tasted like sugar in your mouth

A metaphor I used for the all the roses that bloomed in my mind

If you couldn't be honest

Could you at least say you're sorry?

If not, I will.

Because all those times I was in love with you

I couldn't help but forget and forgive

But little did I know

That the one I brought to grave

Was my one and only self.

Woah. This tugged on my heartstrings. There will always be those people who would wait even if they're hurting, even if they're already killing themselves. And that's sad yet true. Amazing work. Keep expressing, Eupjia :)
