Frayed

It is not everyday for me

That someone knocks my door

Brilliant guests : birds and breeze

Him? Better, for sure

Life is not always like a dream

All good like cookie and cream

I just know, I lost this one

My maze, his smile had undone

For long, I was stoned

Like eternal waterfall

That kept on flowing

No end at all

As if we're in a cave,

Dark and deep

No ears to hear

When hearts would weep

Taking turns, elsewhere

Decided to a be fallow

Waiting for a time

A better tomorrow

Something got better

Out of that cave

In the world of realists

Out of my grave

Now I stand at the cliff

Telling stories of the past

Alone and frayed

Counting to the last

And its eternal I know

For we never really die

I tell them I will be back

None has to cry

I have felt the love

And the cold of a heart

So much more though, left

To see as I depart

But I am not leaving

Never to be gone

I will see you by the coast
