In the dark. Among the odds. Oh God! Is this why I was born!? Is this what I'm supposed to do with the time in my life?
Okay! Let's begin by who I am.
I am a girl. Actually not a girl, I'm a burden. An object of shame. A useless creature dropped unfortunately.
This is exactly how I conclude my existence.
I've never gone out of this dark, dark room. Neither have I felt the charisma of cool breeze, of beautiful lights, of pretty pretty secrets in every person out there!
Locked behind the bars of misfortune and of course of fear, I... I... I feel so scared. Sometimes furious, sometimes docile and sometimes just like another thing.
This is so not fair! How can one decide for us such rules and protocols! Ohh! It's ridiculous!
Don't wear short clothes it reflects your character.
Don't laugh too much and too loud as it reflects your behaviour.
Don't talk to anyone of the opposite sex. (I don't know what this reflects)
Don't ever think of drinking and that's like NEVER EVER!!
Don't step out late from your house because the world is cruel and has lost its humanity.
Don't get educated. Don't be happy. Don't breathe. DON'T LIVE!
For the world out there (which I've never seen), this is what we are told.
And this is what I'm saying...
If you are so bad then try to be good. As nothing is impossible, maybe you will turn good. No one is completely bad.
If you have glanced at a girl adjusting her shirt with lusty eyes, Instead of that, try to see the charm in her eyes or the way she adjusts her hair.
Talk to her with a decent eye contact not with your eyes on her body.
So tired she is when she returns back home from work; so instead of playing your ugly tricks why not give her a lift and act like...good.
It's not that we are weak and need bodyguards around us. What we need is some respect and a bit of shame in the eyes of the ones who take females as just fleshy objects.
We are strong.
We are bold.
Not as women.
Not as men.
But as humans. It's about humanity!
Not as force.
Not as pain.
Not as fun.
But it's about consent.
It's about our share of freedom. It's about our space.
We have to step forward to voice the voiceless mouths which have been shut by grimy fingers of insecurity.
We can do anything and absolutely everything.
