This eerie silence
Is giving me chills
Silence
That is defacing my being
Robbing mine happiness
Stripping you away from me
Cleaving your soul and mine
Your heart and mine
That were once called as ‘one’
The pain of thinking
That you will not be there with me
As I voyage through this life
That there will not be two
But just one pair of footprints
As I look behind
Makes my heart wail
In agony and in silence
Taking me to misery and woe
That seem to me will never end
There’s now no more of you
You’ve gone beneath
Why, you’ve gone to a travel
That is unending
I wish I could
I am hoping we could
Be together again
Someday, my love.
Until then,
This is goodbye that is not goodbye.
