Holding me Back

Holding me back is -

Our promises that we took to be one others,

Our past that brought us together,

Our memories so beautiful that brings smile on my face,

Each small steps that we took together in this life termed as a race,

Holding me back is -

That cute expression when you do a mistake,

That innocent face of yours when you are not awake,

The firm hold of yours arms

And the warmth of your kiss that took my breath away.

Holding me back is –

Your stupid excuse every time you were late,

The random plans that you used to set,

Each moment when you said you missed me,

Each moment when I could see the Love in your eyes.

Holding me back is -

Your presence that felt so comfortable,

Like a home coming after the struggle,

Our friendship that is so precious to me,

The thousand moments that changed me and U to We.

Holding me back is - 

My Love for you that still exists deep in my Heart.

But how many days can I live in the past,

How many days can I hope for a better future?

What I can feel is only the present,

Which does not bring the Happiness it meant.
