HOPE

We are all perfectly flawed . She yearned for someone who accepted hers.

When she saw him, she knew he was the one. He promised her forever,until he found someone better.

She hides agony behind her smile and sometimes her smile falters and the mask slips.

With their love ,died her last warm feelings for humanity .

They don’t talk anymore and he doesn’t seem to care.

And it occurred to her ,that there was no unconditional love, only unconditional need.

On the shore, she sat and hoped as she looks at her sleeves noting they are wet with tears.

Maybe all we can do is to hope to end up with the right regrets.
