I TRIED.

Its 3 am , you’re sound asleep

I’m crying myself to sleep

I woke up and realized I couldn’t handle it anymore.

Even when I gave you my everything, it was never enough for you.

I found myself, the day I found you.

I lost myself, trying not to lose you.

I knew I had to walk away,

when you asked me to prove my worth to you

Tried to tell u why,

but nothing came out.

It was then that I realized,

even i didn’t know why.

I was your cure

You were my malady

I’m no savior, yet I was saving you

but YOU were killing me.

Handed you the revolver ,

thinking you wouldn’t pull the trigger, yet you did.

Now I can walk away,

Knowing that I tried .

Hoping this isn’t how my story will end .
