How To Use CBD Olive Oil To Make CBD Oil

This process involves heating olive oil and decarboxylated cannabis flowers in a closed container inside a temperature-controlled water bath on the stove. Before beginning, make sure you have the necessary supplies and tools ready.

30 minutes for preparation

3–4 hours for cooking

Process for decarboxylating: 20 to 60 minutes

Process for boiling oil: 2 12 to 3 hours

Two cups (16 ounces) of CBD olive oil per serving.

Required Equipment

baking pan

Cheesecloth

Sterilized Funnel made of jars

Medium-sized saucepan, instant pot, slow cooker, or crockpot

thermometer for candy

filter with fine mesh

Ingredients

1-ounce decarboxylated cannabis flower high in CBD

CBD Olive Oil, two cups

Directions

Step 1

The most critical step in any cannabis recipe is decarbing your flower. You need a CBD cannabis strain to make the CBD-infused olive oil. The best thing you can do to fully convert CBDA to CBD is to decarboxylate it at 240–295 °F in order to release CBD's full potential and benefit from it. Before preparing food, baking goods, or obtaining oil from dried cannabis flower buds, you must do this. If you want, you can skip this step by powdering the bud first and then adding it to hot CBD Olive Oil. Raw cannabis or dried cannabis flower buds have minimal to no intoxicating effects when consumed.

Oven temperature should be set between 240 and 295 degrees.

While the oven is preheating, line the baking sheet with tinfoil.

Use a grinder or your hands to chop up the dried flowers. Use any of Botany Farms' handmade hemp flowers for this phase.

Step 2

Spread out the ground cannabis evenly on the baking sheet. Bake for 60 minutes at a lower heat or 20 minutes at a higher heat (275 to 295 degrees Fahrenheit).

Remove with care. Extra-virgin CBD Olive Oil is a premium, unrefined type of olive oil. It is created entirely from cold-pressed olives, without the use of any chemicals or temperature-related modifications. With less oleic acid than other types of olive oil, this raw, organic oil offers a true olive flavor in addition to vitamins and minerals. Additionally, EVOO is incredibly high in antioxidants, which lessen oxidative stress throughout the body. Your immune system will be strengthened by these polyphenols, increasing your body's resistance to inflammation and infections.

The best option for making CBD CBD Olive Oil is to infuse ordinary, pure olive oil. This multipurpose oil is a mixture of processed oils and cold-pressed CBD Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO). It has a greater oleic acid concentration (3-4%), a significantly lighter color, and a more neutral flavor. Although it is of inferior quality, the ability to take higher heat makes it a more useful oil for sautéing, frying, and other culinary applications.

Step 3

Try to establish a barrier between your mason jars and the slow cooker by placing a clean tea towel on the bottom to stop any jars from sliding or splitting during cooking.

To construct a water bath, fill it with hot water that is just deep enough to cover the tops of the mason jars you intend to use by an inch.

Heat the slow cooker to a high setting. Use a candy thermometer or a digital instant-read thermometer to measure the water's temperature. Turn the crockpot on low when the temperature reaches 185° F.

If you don't have a slow cooker, crockpots or pressure cookers are additional helpful countertop equipment that produce excellent results. If you don't have any of those, you can use a saucepan and cook it gently.

Step 4

Evenly distribute the olive oil among the mason jars you intend to use. Use the size that you prefer. Just make sure they fit with a 1/2 inch headspace remaining from the top.

Cannabis buds that have already undergone decarboxylation should be divided and combined in the jars with the CBD Olive Oil.

Place the lid on the jars after cleaning the rim with a fresh paper towel.

Without making it too tight, close the jar.

Step 5

Carefully place the Mason jars within a water bath using a slow cooker once the water bath reaches a temperature of 185° F to 200° F.

Put the crockpot or slow cooker's lid on and heat to a low boil. For around 2 12 to 3 hours, make sure the water bath doesn't get hotter than 200 F.

Allow it to infuse and add more water as necessary to make up for evaporation.

After two or three hours, carefully remove the lid.

To properly remove the Mason jar, use an oven mitt.

As soon as it reaches room temperature, set them away to chill.

Step 6

Put the CBD Olive Oil in a jar for storage.

Stack cheesecloth in a fine-mesh strainer over a Mason jar that has been sterilized. Through a cheesecloth filter, pour the CBD-enriched olive oil into the jar.

Press gently to release the oil. Avoid squeezing the cheesecloth to reduce the flavor of chlorophyll, which can be very unpleasant.

The sealed pot should be kept in the fridge for around two hours. After that, keep it at room temperature in a dark cabinet.

When you're done, you'll have a pot with your infused CBD olive oil and some extras that you may use as garnish.

CBD Extra Virgin Olive Oil may acquire a bitter flavor when heated to a high temperature, so keep that in mind if you decide to use it. You can produce a mixture in a pot using half olive oil and half water to prevent this. When the mixture is ready, add the CBD-ready cannabis buds. then adhere to the same process. Your pot will have a detailed appearance once it has completely cooled. Water will remain on the bottom side while the olive oil will be divided along the top.
