I fell asleep,
crying at night
I fell asleep,
dreaming with fright
I saw a face
gleaming in the dark
it was mysteriously exquisite
it stole my lonely heart
i waited for evening to come
to see the face again
my heart filled with glee
even in my dreams, to see such a man
after many dreams nights
he spoke words i longed to hear
"i love you", he said
"-you have nothing to fear!"
his love, i returned
never regretting what i've done
but i cannot help but feel
that someday he'll be gone
and then one dream
a lonely dream
i discovered
the painful truth
he was the man that reaps the souls
in one long sorrowful breath
he was the one that'll lead me home,
i fell inlove with death.
