I Forgive but I will not Forget

I was taught to forgive people, to give second chances. To forget what they have done to me is something I can never do. What you have done to hurt my feelings is a scar to my heart. You may tape it and glue it all you want but it will never erase the scar you have cause.

An apology is just like a glue or tape. It will just hold the pieces of my heart together but it will not hide the fact that I almost lost a piece if you didn't apologize.  That is why I forgive because I know if I do that I might help both of us but I can never ever forget the things you have done to make me shatter.
