How we used to break silence

with our stares,

targeting each other like guns with

hundred bullets.

How we argue about table cloths,

about which one is better;

"A cup of coffee or a tea?"

But now I don't drink both.

How you inspired me to write poems about the boy i like;

not knowing until now that-

you were that boy.

How you filled my ink with joy;

but never the sorrow.

You told me that words will never break me,

So I continue persisting on writing

hoping it could heal broken parts

of me.

When you told me that my body is the happiest place on earth,

I just have to learn how to live on it.

How we kissed under the moonlight with my hair

covering half of my face.

About the house we built but now

it's empty.

It seems like it never exists.

I forgot the address and how it looked like,

but I remember your face very well.

I used to think about escaping this cruel world

My lover looked at me with fear burning his eyes as he spoke,

"Do you still have pieces of hin left inside your closet?"

I can't help but to lie.

I dodged his stares

but I look back,

to stop his eyes from burning.

he is now a lost memory i let go a long time ago."

A memory that is still alive.

That makes me up all night.

My lover sighed in relief.

I told my lover about you that night. When we were sitting on an empty balcony so near to the moon with melting candles, cold soup, violin untouched, unplayed strings.
