Ido Fishman Clears the Common Misconceptions People Have about Exercising

Info

When you talk to people about exercising, they are usually under the impression that more is less. However, the fitness training expert Ido Fishman has a completely different view of this. He believes that people have a lot of misconceptions about exercising. In most cases, people think exercise is good, so it should be good no matter how much they do it. Is it really the case with anything in life? Food is good for you, but can you keep eating it for hours without stopping?

Moderation is the answer to all the problems, even when you are exercising. There are many other rumors, misconceptions, and pieces of misinformation associated with exercising those hurt people in many ways. If you believe in any of those, you might want to hear what Ido Fishman has to say to come out of the illusion. Let’s see.

Ido Fishman Busts the Common Exercise-related Misconceptions

More Is Good

This is probably the misconception that hurts people the most. You can’t keep on exercising all the time or for hours. Your body is not meant to do that. Even if you look at the routine of a professional athlete, they have breaks in their training. Working out too much and without any aim can hurt you in more ways than you might realize. You might put too much strain on your bones or cause a muscle to pull. That’s exactly what happens to professional athletes as well when they don’t get enough rest while they are playing.

So, if you are thinking about exercising, you have to know the right balance. Don’t forget that there are different ways to exercise, each requiring a different timeframe to be effective. If you are only walking briskly, you might do that for 30 to 45 minutes. However, if you are sprinting, you don’t want to do that for half an hour. You want to do that for only a few minutes and then stop.

Furthermore, you have to know that your exercise also depends on your physical and medical condition. In addition to that, your age directly impacts how much you can exercise. If you have a heart condition, you don’t want to sprint unless your doctor allows you to. If you are over 60 years of age, you don’t want to do rigorous exercise. In other words, it is best to be in touch with a physical trainer who can tell you what’s good for you based on your health, medical condition, and age.

Pre-workout Stretching Is Always Good

You can research the internet all you want but you will not find any proper research that shows you that stretching will benefit you before you exercise. The first question you have to ask yourself is, “Why do I have to stretch before exercising?” Well, they say that you have to make your muscles ready for the workout. But isn’t stretching a workout in itself? Again, think about it, do you think it will do you good or harm when you stretch your muscles while they are cold?

There is a lot of common sense that has to go into this decision. If you think carefully about it, you will realize that stretching might not be any good before your exercise at all. Don’t pull and stretch your muscles when they stiff and rigid. Yes, what you should focus on, however, is making your body a bit warm. You can do some basic jumping and other light aerobics to get your muscles a bit warm. This gets them flexible and ready to be in any position. In fact, after some warm-up exercise, you can even do stretching if you want.

Going to Any Gym Will Fix the Problem

Whether you are looking to lose weight, become bulky, or just tone your muscles, people will tell you that you can do all that by going to a gym. Nope! That’s not the answer to all your problems. Going to just any gym will not solve your problem at all. If you are thinking about going to Africa, will getting on any plane take you there? Not at all! You will have to find the right flight that’s going to the destination that you have planned to go to. That’s what you have to understand about gyms as well. You must make sure that you join the right gym and train under the supervision of the right trainer who can help you achieve your fitness goals.

Ido Fishman believes that you should put 10 times more effort into choosing a gym than you do choose your new pair of shoes. Ido Fishman Fit might be the answer to all your health and fitness-related problems. However, you don’t have to base your decision on just words you hear from someone. You should do your personal research before you make a decision. Secondly, you have to make sure that you are getting some professional guidance in addition to some space where you can exercise.

Some people believe that having some fancy machines in the gym is enough for them. That’s a huge mistake. Don’t let the equipment or the aesthetics of the gym fool you. It is a matter of your health and physical fitness. You won’t go to a bad hospital only because its inside looks beautiful. The gym is the place where you go to get your body and fitness treated. You have to make sure you choose the right place and the right people to train you.

Final Thoughts

Ido Fishman believes that there are many other misconceptions that people have about exercising that need clarification. In addition to this, you also have to understand that exercise alone is not the answer to your fitness goals. You have to combine it with a great diet to get the results that you have been aiming for. So, make sure that you are putting in just the same amount of effort in choosing the right foods to eat that you are putting in exercising. That’s when you will get the results that you can be really proud of.
