Is it worth it?

The saddest thing about life is that you always give what people can't give to you, say what others can't say to you, do what they can't do to you. It's an awful feeling, being taken for granted by someone you love the most. Nevertheless, no matter how painful it gets as long as it would make him happy, even if you won't probably be the reason why, you'd still choose pain over pleasure. You'd still give him everything even if he won't thank you. You'd still make him as an exemption apart from those who are hurting you but the truth is that—he's the one who's hurting you the most. 

He never asked how have you been nor told you how beautiful you are, not even the slightest appreciation came out of his mouth. He was not there when you needed someone to talk about your life. He never listened to anything that you said apart from those he found interesting. You helped him regardless of the fact that he won't consider it. You gave him the stars but looked at the sun instead.

"Are you tired?" they would ask.

"Yes." an honest answer.

"Will you ever stop?" they would ask once more.

"No." an honest yet a sad answer.

The things that you do for him are far beyond measures; things that you can't even do to yourself and you probably won't do it for yourself. 

Unconditional love is the most selfless and the saddest kind love. 

But at the end of the day, try to answer this question:

Is it worth it?

It's alright to leave because not all the time you have to stay, sometimes letting go is better than holding on. Especially when you have stayed beside someone who didn't deserve your presence in the first place.
