The world had shrunk
Into the screens of phones.
They were living, breathing, walking around
Glued to their cell-phones,
Falling in love with the texts and symbols
And not with the real persons;
Unhappy, addicted.
No one has time for the books
While the dust gathers on bookshelves.
"Come on, be a sport. Who goes to the library?", they say.
Restless, lost, bored;
The doors to happiness and wonder
Are locked, you see,
With all the answers and hopes inside.
The buried stories
And all the peace, wasted...
Who has the time to read?
I'd gone for an interview but her thoughts didn't let me speak - knowing she lived in the same city.
