J-A-N-A-K-I (part 1)

Info

She was a memory by the time 2019 came across. Jaanu she was a part time anchor and an engineer at Hyderabad. She was living with her ex-boyfriend's martini glass, in my old 1BHK apartment, near Chowmahalla Palace.
She was soo beautiful, for a girl in my dreams.... She was soo beautiful for my eyes and soul, she was a delight for me..... Hatt!!!! Stop daydreaming Cherian , interrupted Patrick, his childhood best friend.
Patrick and I were thick friends right from school to college, and we were the firsts to be pulled up for all our mischievous acts in school.
Coming back to my jaanu.. As known as Janaki rai, was the new tenant, living in my old apartment.
It was 27th March 2017,monday afternoon that I decided to take one last look at my nostalgia filled apartment, also to pick my mails.
The moment I opened the door knob, my mind fell apart on seeing this young girl in bare minimum clothes, and on sudden impulse I quickly shut the door, and ran towards another direction. The girl too would have freaked out on seeing me.
Hundred and one questions surrounded me., why didn't she lock the door? Who was this beauty? How was I even supposed to know that the owner would quickly fill in the vacant space with somebody.. And on went the list..
I rang up my old neighbor, who was out of station that particular time, to ask about her were abouts. He vaguely mentioned that her name was janaki rai, from kerala and had come here to explore her dreams, kind of thing.
Aaaahhh. OK. OK..!! I thought in my mind.
He also warned me, not to hit on her and laughed about my previous incidents.
Soon as I was about to keep the call, there she came, out In a light blue dress, my eyes mesmerized on seeing her. Still I kept up all my sense to talk to her and apologize and Booomm!!! My ears went for a toss, as she opened her mouth to yell at me, in her mother tongue (malayalam.) Silly girl, only little did she know that I too came from the same land. But still I stood as if I didn't understand a word, admiring her. And she, quickly got inside her house and locked it this time.
I was so thrilled and excited to see this little one, give me a chill in my blood, after a long time.
I had to apologize, to her. But thought after sometime, after she cooles down otherwise next time she opened the door she would rather kill me or attack me with Chilly powder or something as the same kind you see in a malayalam serial.
My instincts told me, to write a sorry note and pass it underneath and I followed it, with my name and number and had told her that I was the old tenant, and was unaware about the new occupancy.
And I quickly vamoosed from there.
And i didn't give much attention to the scene, but the girl I must say was the kind of girl I dreamt of.
After few days, I was heading home for the onam holidays in kerala, I reached the railway station half an hour before, my train, And was just waiting and checking up on my emails. Suddenly I get a call from J-A-N-A-K-I!!!! The girl... U remember her.!! I took the call. She yelled at me. Again.. And said.. Sorry. That I should never ever open any door without knocking, and otherwise it could lead to unwanted drama and issues.. And u know blah blah.. And I said.. I am extremely sorry. I wouldn't repeat it  too..!! Then she told me, to buy a bottle of water and a magazine for her, and told me, to wait. And I nodded, and suddenly got a shock.. What did u say.?? There she cut the call. I didn't really understand for when and why she wanted WATER? And a magazine? To make up.. I was totally confused. And quickly bought. I really didn't know why. Though. And I called back,.To her number.. No response.. And in sometime the train came, and I stood in front like a fool, not knowing what to do. I got in the train, and was about to go find my seat and suddenly I get a call from one of the side of the train..cheriaaaannnn!!! And I saw her janaki. Getting Onto my train to kerala. I was again stuck by her presence.
She told me. To breathe... And to quickly sit, we both somehow had our seats, nearby. And I wondered, that it was God made match for me.
The journey to kerala was a( one day affair) that too in a non ac sleeper. It was going to be hectic. And but with her near me, I felt that the time wasn't going to be enough. She wore a yellow churidar that day. For the first 3-4hours.she didn't speak a word, she asked for the bottle of water though and the magazine and was scanning each and every page as if she had an exam on it. I did notice her looking at me, and smiling once in a while, while i was continously staring at her.
After the big gap of silence, after she finished her magazine. She asked me, if I had remembered her?

Did I? Know her
