To My 19- Year Old Self,
Thank you.
For being strong.
For being responsible.
For being considerate and dedicated.
I know that for the past ten years you've done enough. I know that you've been through a lot already.
I also know that sometimes you really want to give up but you keep pushing yourself.
Thank you for being such an awesome woman.
For sacrificing your studies so you can take care of our dad.
I know that he is happy now in heaven. I know that he is so proud of you.
Thank you for helping our siblings.
I know you that you're the youngest and that you are the one who's supposedly asking for help but instead you are the one who is helping your elders.
I know that you really question that theory but remember what I've told you before?
It's better that you're the one helping than the one who's asking for help.
It means you're more capable.
It means you're more than blessed and you're a blessing.
I know that you think that it's too much already but it's okay.
You'll be fine.
You've grown too well.
You became someone no one has ever anticipated.
You became such a beautiful butterfly.
I know that sometimes you don't feel recognized.
I know that sometimes you don't feel loved.
You don't feel appreciated.
But you know them too well.
Giving without expecting in return is the purest act of kindness my love.
So it's just fine.
Everything will be fine.
You will be fine.
Just keep doing what you've been doing.
If you get tired, then just rest .
If you feel like being burdened by so many obligations in life, then just take some rest.
I know that you can do that because you'll always have me.
I am always one step behind you.
Because my sweet child, I love you!
From,
Your 29- Year Old Self
