Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

I hope you are fine.

I have heard your name on every child's lips during christmas. You present sweets and gifts to us. My mom says you ride through the icy regions the whole year to reach here only on christmas eve.

I haven't met personally. But I have seen your pictures on television and have played with your look-alike dolls. This christmas I really wish to meet you.

Santa, last year christmas wasn't that special at our home and not even in the city. The usual excitement was nowhere visible.

Do you know why ? Because, there are many problems hovering above us.

Tycoons, floods, cyclones and earthquakes prove to be a last nail in the coffin of the world. Our country is busy in fighting with calamities rather than enjoying their life.

The prices are rising at a tremendous rate. Even on my birthday, I couldn't buy my favorite game. As a result of the sharp rise in prices, many people couldn't buy even their basic needs. My Mom doesn't allow me to buy a computer for my studies. She says it would cause an increment in the electric bill.

Dad reads out the newspaper everyday and informs me about the melting of glaciers. Due to which, the level of water is increasing rapidly. But Santa, if all the ice would melt, how would you come on your sledge. Then you would have to come on a boat rather than your sledge. But I love the reindeer, how would I get see them ?

Moreover everyday we are afraid of wars. How can there be peace in the world when countries are at cross purposes.

Even in the winters, the sun shows its aggression. So, I would suggest you to change your outfit. In this arena, you would love to wear t-shirts and jeans. And yes, don't forget to carry an umbrella. Now-a-days, you can't rely upon the weather. There may be unpredicted rain and you might fall sick after being drenched.

Santa, I am little boy and want to continue my life happily. I know I am crying for the moon. But our world is on the verge of destruction.

I hope you would bring some good news for us, as you are the epitome of happiness, right.
