How can life be a fairytale,

And a nightmare at the same time?

How can it treat you with the best,

and betray you with the worst?

How can it surprise you like a gift,

But frighten you like a witch?

How can it give you life,

And kill you without a knife?

It gives you thoughts of a dream,

That always seem to gleam.

They fade away without a trace,

And if you want to catch up with them you'll have to keep up at pace.

And when you do you'll finally realize,

That all you've been waiting for was just a paralyze.
