Life of Photon

I was given Five instructions.

1.Your life is a message, consider it fulfilled if you are received.

2.If in doubt, travel in circles.

3.You are never alone. Union with your pair is the end of your existence as you know it.

4.Do not compete with the dark. It is as fast as you.

5. Never. Stop. Moving.

With that, I am hurled into the vast darkness.

But the pain of losing home is greater than the fear of the unknown.

I race along.

I am among the fastest beings ever created after all.

I am taught about the secrets and origins of our home.

There are infinite forms of life.

Each limited to experiencing existence only in parameters of their perceptions.

I wonder about the unknown entity that watches me all along.

I question the validity of the instructions.

I see things beyond my comprehension.

Beings size of my home fighting each other for survival and reasons beyond my knowledge.

I learn the fear of passing through them almost losing my identity.

I felt the joy of finding companions of various forms and homes.

I lament the loss of my comrades.

I experience the bittersweet defeat of being swallowed by the Beast.

I know I'll find the source of everything.

I get drawn to a minute particle teemed with organic life.

My company dwindled again as I drew near.

I feel strange euphoria.

The place is different unlike any I had seen.

A different form of life, welcomes me, as though waiting for me.

I reach inside on of them.

The creature faintly reminds of something I saw during the journey.

My message bring them joy.

Destruction of my home ensure survival of theirs.

As my life as photon dissolves, I slowly morph into something else.

In my new home, I am known as Neuron.

But.

I can't stop moving and I can already feel my new home facing same fate as my old one.
