... Maybe another time..

HIS STORY

His cell phone was flooded with messages that read 'hey wish you a very happy birthday! Have a great day.' But all he was waiting for was one text from a person, that someone he hadn't seen or had heard from, since two years.

And as he read all those messages, he went straight to his bed, he started cuddling with all those lovely memories which was as beautiful as she was. It wash not uncommon for him to think about her every single night.

Although he knew that she was never going to send him any messages, he wished and waited eagerly for her to do the same. Deep within that he knew that she was and is greatly in love with him and will always be. And then he closed his eyes and murmured the the words, 'I love you..' 

HER STORY

Her hands were constantly shaking and her thumb was drawing an imaginary drawing in the air, as she was typing just three words: 'Hey, happy birthday!' 

There was a constant dispute between her and her mind, it was her mind that always won.

She had successfully backspaced every word that she had typed before and then she threw the mobile somewhere in middle of the bed. 

She just wanted to sleep now, but that one thing hidden somewhere in the cupboard didn't quite allow her to sleep. She went to the cupboard and found the slam book which was kept securely. She went to that last but one page where he had written. She read that again for the 104th  time and it still reminded her of those wonderful days in high school and him, just then the tears rolled down her cheeks. She then closed everything and next thing she did was sleep with all those beautiful memories and hoping to have his dream again.

He loved her, she loved him.

He missed her, she missed him.

Lack of communication, dominant role of ego had just destroyed the beautiful relationship they could have had.
