Mayhem

I was born out of the chaos amidst the silence between two hearts.

I'm the sudden thud of your pulse when he told you he was done with you. Between moth-kissed nights and lonely sobs, I was born from your desperate cries. Wonder all you can, but I'm the same ruined mascara that gazed back at you when you searched for your flaws in the mirror. The very marks down your wrists, I still carry every memory like a burden down my back. I was born between chains of society and education, where there was no place left for me to go and sing of my muse. I was no brilliance, but they called me thunder. I raged in your mind till you let me out; a silent stream of starlight that screeches in its own tepid way.

I'm the stubborn determination you found when you put yourself back together. And mind you, little one! There is no going back.

Scream and thrash and let it all out.

You have every right to make your existence known in this numb universe.
