Memory

Have you ever came across a picture hidden in an old wallet? Or a letter safely tucked inside a drawer? Did you ever gossiped with your friends reminiscing of the past as laughter comes out of your lips? Happenings that will never be forgotten. Forever etched in your mind. A memory. And I hope I am that to you.

As you hold me beneath the bed of stars spread widely in the night sky. With each embrace feels like air is driven out from my lungs. As you sing every word of my favorite song lulling me to sleep each night. As you hold my hand and stare deeply into my eyes sending butterflies inside my stomach like the world belongs only to the two of us. As we dance in rhythm to the fall of the rain and kiss me like there's no tomorrow.

And my heart shattered.

As every one of this is just now a memory. A remembrance of the past. And as you come across every picture frame, every letter sent, and words spoken from your friends, you'll laugh out loud and then smile, and here I am hoping that you remembered me.
