Mid-May's Winter Pine

It was 15th of May

Month of blooming flowers

Month of sweet lovers

Days are all in brightest colors

Standing at the streetside

Staring at my phone for awhile

Waiting for the traffic to subside

There was you and there was I

Crossing the street, I saw your name

And all at once, my heart started to beat

Reading your messages, not realizing your fame

In the cold night breeze, I can feel the heat

And then we talked, time unnoticed

Deep thoughts flowing side to side

And these growing feelings I tried to protest

Became beats tickling me inside

Your eyes sparkling, locking mine

Your lips smiling, tempting mine

My hands trembling, yours holding mine

If you are mid-May's winter pine

Be mine...
