My favorite poem

Info

The phrases I once knew
very well
seems foreign now
that I know you;
Your voice and your smile
shame all the those
they call beautiful-- divine,
Your lone presence
and utter innocence
devoids Shakespeare of his magic,
suddenly
you are worth
more than his sonnets
combined;

Darling
Words alone cannot suffice,
To the light and beauty
that radiates from your eyes;
The world's cadence
cannot keep up
with your grace and finesse,
they're never enough;
In my gentle submission
may you find the beauty
in this composition,
my love does not end
between the words
that consists this
subtle admission;

The poetry that this world has known
is of little value
compared
to the thoughts that your
pretty mind holds,
In the silence
of my longing heart
may you heed,
these words are more than
the blood
that a thousand soldiers
could bleed;

If this were to be my ode
to your soul that shone
in the cold,
I need not to point out
the great strength
that you hold;
In the subtle reign
of my words
may you grasp
beyond what is seen,
beyond what can be felt
in this vast sanctuary
of evergreen;

For darling
you are my poetry
and all that I am,
You are my sweet
surrender,
the everlasting promise
land.
