My lullaby

I woke up with the noise of the rain hitting the window. I checked the time, 7 am but still it looked dark outside. I pulled the cover up and sighed at the cold weather. While i laid there awake he was still in a deep slumber. The cover went down somewhere near his waist exposing him to the chill which already started to set in the room. I pulled up the cover for him and rubbed his head, this made him moan like a child. Maybe the weather or his dreams, i thought. I shifted closer and hugged him in my warmth. While the noise outside was loud all i could hear was this man in my arms breathing gently. And that, was my lullaby.
