I'm a nomad that's passing by,
I have no home, I have no ties.
I have no country, I have no flag,
I have no people, my life's a drag.
I speak in tongues that no one gets,
I have no wife, I have no pets,
No one to bear my children ever,
All my bonds they just sever.
My tongue is dry, my feet are sore,
Nowhere to rest, there's no welcome door,
The night sky's my blanket, the stars are my friends,
Old ones never wanted to make amends.
I'm older and wiser but still alone,
I go mum for days, my throat turns to stone,
Sometimes I hum a note or two,
To remind myself that I'm a human too.
I hope one day my time runs out,
There will be no one to scream and shout,
I'll be buried by the sands that blow,
And forever sleep under the night sky's glow.
Just a nomad who was passing by,
Who had no home, who made no ties,
Just a nomad who was done with life.
