In life you meet a lot of temporary people, people who stand by you through thick and thin, making your life better and then ones who left making your future better. Among all of these people parents are constants. From the moment you were born till their last breath, they live to see a smile on your face, for you to be successful.
You'll have friends in a every stage of your life, some will stick with you forever and sometimes, some very rare times, your parents become your best friend. And parents can't just become best friends overnight, it takes work, it requires gaining their trust, they should feel that you will stand by them no matter what, it's a gradual process. Understanding parents and co-operative children makes the best pair.
I can proudly say that my mom is one among the few I call my best friends. These are the people I know I can open up to without being judged. She can recognize the sadness in my voice even if I successfully put up a facade, she know what I want even before I say it. Thanking her for all that she did will not be enough, so this is for her, "All those times when you stood by me, when you valued my opinion over everyone else's, when you forgave me for all my mistakes, when you gave voice to my dreams. All those times you were becoming my best friend, my confidante. You are the first one I share my happiness to, you are the first one I call when I'm disturbed, and you are the shoulder that I cry upon. You guided me all throughout my life and I just want you to know that you are my role model. And all these years growing up, I wanted to become you, though I don't know if I'll ever be as good as you."
