An independent mom
Age 8
I remember all the hardships you went through when we were building a new home. Dad was never there to help you in the process and I know it wasn't easy for a woman do all those things alone, we weren't financially sound either. I never got to see you properly for over 5 months. I remember how you used to wake up early, do all the house chores. You had to cook for the entire family, get me ready for school, and when you were done at home, you would go to the place where the construction was going on. You won't be back till its late, and back then I used to hate you for leaving me with them. But you single handedly build that home, you won in front of everyone who said you would never be able to make it happen. I just have one thing to say to all the male chauvinists out there, nothing can stop a woman with determination. It was you, who made me an independent woman. You made me realize that if you have will power nothing can stop you, and that we needed to break the stereotypes the society had set for us. I believe that I can do everything if I have you to back me up.
