One Big Lie!!

Info

Then came the vilest one,

that to say, might be but too soon

For I can say the truth

my sheltered twenty’s worth

I met those smiles

With far many mine

For the child in me

Was then too alive

And my hand I gave,

happy for the bond to share

All too naive,

I knew not the dare

At a time unmarked by date

Wary I became of the venom of my mate

The serpent in disguise,

sweetness hiding avarice

It clinged to my feet

Wouldn’t let go

Seething with venom,

for the kill to enjoy

The murderess I saw,

the hidden foe

That lurking nightmare

With a wanton wish to annoy

So much filth

In one so young

A cruel mirth,

the deadly sting.

But then I knew

Everything, a lure

All my joy were still mine

And mine will never be slain

Then I grew

Above the petty world

Which unknown

I made for me

The thought, the care

Of all these nothings

The pain, the fear

Of lossing wings

What i knew

Made me grow-

Hiding my wings,

I forgot my flight

And for these nothings,

It was a fall, to fight

So my head I held up high

The mock, the sneer,

The cruel humor

All then became, one big lie!!
