when my eyes
catch sight of you

sounds the rain
pelting my window
as I lie awake
thinking of you

loud and clear
i'm afraid
you might hear when i'm
talking to you

the only thought
in my mind
when i think about
being with you
pitter patter
fast and quick
i found myself
helplessly
falling for you
pitter patter
from your footsteps
as you snuck
into my heart
where i kept you
pitter patter
from your footsteps
as you walk away
too soon, too fast
and I let you
pitter patter
of the teardrops
falling down
because I terribly
terribly miss you
