Regret

Juliet,

I saw you alone in the hallway yesterday,

I would have walked towards you,

And asked you a question 

That would change your life. Our lives.

But, I saw Michael coming  to you.

Then, I saw you crying.

It pained me watching you like that,

I couldn't even fathom why you did such.

I paused aimlessly. Clueless.

Michael lent his shoulder to you

As you both walked away. 

Far from me.

I caught a glimpse of you 

When you looked back.

Your tears streamed down

Like drizzling snows of wintertime.

Tears streaked your beautiful 

But now gloomy eyes.

Then, you totally walked away.

Away from me.

And that made me regret each day.
