Because being pure is something that you can boast. Being pure is something you can be proud of, because not all people get what you have. 

Treasure your purity in mind and heart because that will lead you to a good life.  

Treasure also your virginity because that will be your greatest gift you can give to your soon to be spouse. People might tease your oh so puirty of being a virgin but What you have is something they can't have anymore. So be proud and be patient enough to wait to that person whom you will share your life with.
