Info

I saw the sparkle in her eyes which enlightened me and forced me to think. I was engrossed trying to decipher the language of her eyes. Those kohl lined eyes wanted me to ask several questions. I could clearly see those twinkling eyes were emerged in some dilemma. She was speaking her heart out, atleast that's what she told me on our first encounter, but her intriguing eyes spoke something totally different. As if I am missing some link, I wanted to tell her, please tell your eyes to shut up because they talk too much, but couldn't. She could possibly be my better half in future and I couldn't dare to ruin our very first meet our parents had set up. My mind was racing in 2x speed to trace where did I see those shiny eyes earlier on, but I couldn't come to any conclusion. We were chit chatting, talking about our favorites, cinemas, hobbies and politics, trying to know more about each other, just like two puppies sniffing each other. Amidst all this, the grey matter inside my brain was doing it's job and constantly trying to figure out what's the thing that her pretty eyes are hiding from me. I finally mustered up all my courage and asked her whether by any chance we have met earlier, to which she replied instantly, that could not be possible even in a remote sense as she has always been in Delhi and I have been born and brought up in Mumbai. I dropped other questions which were hammering in my mind, for fear of being labeled as desperate. Soon, the clock ticked 9, it was time I should drop her home. The moment I got up to take my car from the parking area, my gaze got fixed on her eyes, again, as if it was a mirror to her soul, I just couldn't take my eyes off hers, searching for some answers. I argued in my mind to break the eye contact, lest I would be labeled as a creep. I was about to ask her another question, but decided against it. So, I headed towards the car. As I opened the door for her, I saw the tattoo on the nape of her neck, at once the mist was clear, the fog in my mind was gone, and my memory was drifted in that very second, to that room inside the motel in Mumbai. I ignited the engine, and dropped her home, without a word.

I was in a complete state of shock, when  I entered the home, my parents asked me about the date, I kept mum and went straight into the bedroom.

He was in a pensive mood. As if the time machine has brought the world two years back. He was in a pool of memories, her vivid memories. He could clearly see her lying on the couch of the motel in front of him, and that night lucidly pictured infront of his guilty eyes, drunk as he was that time, he couldn't resist himself and he savoured on her body, she mourned, unaware of the person feasting upon her, as it was pitch dark.

Today, her fascinating eyes were trying to express what her mouth was trying to suppress.

Just out of curiosity... is there any specific reason for highlighting 'time'?

Yeah, to show that he might have forgotten the incident as it had been two years, but she could never ever forget what happened, her eyes would reveal something strange on hearing any thing even remotely related to that incident, every single time!
