Road to Friend zone : Dead end

We have had our moments together few years back. As she was jobless, came afresh from her Breakup,wandering here and there, and me being a friend in need accompanied her in every possible way striking a balance between job, family and her. Life seems so perfectly pleasant. We used to talk over the phone hours after hours , Some closer ones ,advised me ," You are gonna get in deep shit" but I flatly refused ," See I never expect anything from anyone , so don't even bother ,I won't get hurt" . Gradually conversation started getting into argumentative mode, she started expecting things from me , one expects from her boyfriend. Sometimes we stopped talking for days , and that gap was more like an emotional vacuum in my life , I used to feel a sort of heaviness on my chest , but I never used to call , maybe she must've felt the same way so after 4 to 5 days she called up, but it was me at the receiving end , and I apologised , so days were passing like this on a bumpy ride, until she land up a job as BDE in some real estate company .My whole life came crashing down like a pack of cards but still she used to call , I moved on from a basic phone set to somewhat smarter phone set in which WhatsApp was operational , so lot of chit chats started happening. So yeah the social circle got expanded, so I was a part of a group where my so called Bhai's used to post videos (uncensored content) and non veg jokes , and one such video I forwarded unintendedly to her phone. So the bomb was dropped, damage was already done. She called up and abused me like anything , of course I deserved it. The guilt was eating me up for inside , she didn't call days passed by , after 3 weeks got a call from her number. She sounded perturbed , the reason being she left the job as she was underpaid every month, now she was counting on me . I assured her to open her account in the major job portals which I did. Now she started getting calls from Real estate companies which she didn't want , so I changed the job alert to Retail , as she had pursued graduation in the same field , as specialisation.

So one day she got a call from High end premium brand and she got selected , congratulated her  , was on cloud 9, only problem was doing up down from her place , it was quite far . But she did it for few months, A guy from the store liked her very much , but actually it was not just a guy , there were 3 guys who got swooned by her looks, body language etc. One of the guy used to live nearby , Some times she used to party at night at his place ,along with  his roommate and roommate's girlfriend ,Gradually this became very frequent , and her frequency of calling dropped dramatically every day , now it was once a week routine.

So one fateful day he proposed her and she said yes. Finally she moved into his place , so the so called relationship became a living one. And they lived happily ever after.

It was signal that I've been friend zoned and my journey with her has come to a halt as it is a dead end for me.

She's gone away with the wind.
