A heart, which once roamed so free
Unaware of the world’s misery
Now caught by you
Taken away to a place that felt home.
That home where we resided,
Our house never shattered, even by those strong winds
When I fell weak, you lifted my spirits up
Until one day, the storm that came
Just destroyed everything once and for all
We stood afar, both on either corners of the ruins
The ruins of our shelter, our home, our dreams, our hopes
You drifted, we drifted
To a place where none of us knew
I wept,
You still didn’t come
I waited,
You still didn’t return
Building our castle again
A place without you
And me, again lost
My heart, free yet caged
Still roaming.
