Have you ever been to the sea?
You stand near the shore,
Taking in the view of the water galore,
Just a splash of wave now and then,
Hitting your feet ,asking you to come in,
Have you wondered ever that maybe it's a plea ,
Maybe the sea wants you, but do you want the sea?

You think of your life while treading on the edge,
Collecting sea shells left behind ,with your own precious dredge,
Shallow at first ,to you the sea may seem,
Once you start knowing it, it's depth will make you beseem ,
If you're brave you'll not mind the darkness that lurks in the deep middle,
Against the comfort of the shore where in safety you piddle,
Just as vulnerable as a person, but living through all eternity,
Have you my dear, ever been to the sea?

It has stormy nights, yet a shimmering next day,
The sparkling water leave your thoughts astray,
You come when it's bright,to breathe in the salty air,
But where are you when the sea is in despair?
You take and take but when it's your turn you are always on a break,
Stay throughout one storm and show that you are worthy,
